Please note we do not have a centre that you drop in on, please contact the foster carer named next to the animal you are interested in adopting to arrange an appointment to come and meet them. All adoptions are subject to our Adoption Policy
Rabbits: Thumper and Trixie

Thumper (fully brown coat) and Trixie (white with brown and ginger patches) are two-year-old sisters.  Thumper is very inquisitive whereas Trixie is a bit more shy.  They are both very good to hold and don't wriggle or jump when putting them down.  They can be territorial and do take a bit of time to warm up to you but once they know they can trust you, they will be all over you.

To register your interest, between 1pm and 6pm, ring John on 07892 823257. Unfortunately, we can't progress any enquiries in writing.
Guinea pigs: Bambi, Bumble and Wilf

Bambi, Bumble and Wilf (or better known as the three amigos) are brothers aged around 18 months.  Bambi (fully ginger) is very outgoing and social, whereas Bumble (black and ginger) and Wilf (brown and ginger) can be a bit more reserved. Bumble is quite happy to chill with some food whilst Bambi and Wilf like to play around and chat to each other.  You will often find them sat perfectly in a line around their food bowl, happily sharing their food.

To register your interest, between 1pm and 6pm, ring John on 07892 823257. Unfortunately, we can't progress any enquiries in writing.
Guinea pig: Gizmo

Gizmo (18 months) is brown and ginger is very big and boisterous.  He loves to have all the attention.

Tortoise: Sheldon

Hi, my name is Sheldon! I’m a male Horsfield tortoise who came into Tails with my sister at 3 years of age as a very poorly little boy. Straight away all of my habitat requirements, diet and supplements were corrected plus veterinary care for my extremely dangerous parasite count and now, 2 and a half years on (took time to get me well along with my foster mummy having to work on keeping me awake through hibernation times due to my health as it’s unsafe to go sleepytime when we’re poorly), I am fighting fit and ready to find my forever home 🥰

I am now nearly 6 yrs old, adore my freshly grown weeds, wild flowers and the odd lettuces - my favourites are cos, occasional rocket and lambs lettuce 🥰 ideally wild picked or freshly grown in unfertilised soil with no pesticides or in poor ‘picking’ weather - store bought is ok if washed thoroughly! These things are bad for me.

I love basking and especially DIGGING! So lots of top soil please! I also like to have a soak in lukewarm water twice a week and have a wide, shallow water dish to drink from (well, to paddle in, especially if you put me in and fill it by pouring the water over me..my own mini waterfall 🤭).

I require a large secure outdoor enclosure that keeps me safe from predators such as birds of prey and rats that also has shelter and heat (with thermostat) for night and for the colder months (or an indoor enclosure during this time).  I need deep, unfertilised top soil so I can bury myself to both keep warm and to hide from heat and lots of safe and/or edible plants for hiding/shade and of course.. eating 😋 but NO straw/hay materials as I don’t like fire🔥. If you want to keep me indoors this is ok but I do need a large, safe enclosure with correct light/uv and a safe outdoor run for during the summer months.  These are the conditions I currently have.

You will be given full support and advice such as links to suitable equipment/supplements, living size requirements etc from my foster mummy, Alison, to set up and maintain correct requirements. She is very protective of us shellbabies and said hand over will only be allowed once suitable housing is complete and been seen by her.

If you believe you could give me a loving home with my necessary requirements please register your interest with John at Tails on 07892 823257 between 1-6pm any day. All animals are subject to a set donation amount which varies on animal type.
We don’t any have other rabbits, guinea pigs or small furries for rehoming at the moment. Please try:
